AMTEC Instructor Needed! AMTEC is still looking for instructors for the Solar Capstone (day and evening), the Carbon Fiber Capstone (evening) and CADD and/or Solidworks 40-hour class (day and evening). For the Solar Capstone, we are working with VisSolis to provide part of the training, and need an instructor that can fill in the rest of the week(s). The next evening class is scheduled June 3rd-June 14th, 6p-10p, and the next day class is scheduled June 3-June 7, 9am-4:30pm. Interested individuals must have certification or experience in Energy Auditing or the Solar Energy/Photovoltaics Industry. The Carbon Fiber Capstone is being arranged as a series of guest speakers and tours. We need instructors with education or experience in the areas of Carbon Fiber, composites (any type), material science, and polymer chemistry. These experts would provide instruction in 1-4 hour increments in their respective fields. There is a much greater need for evening instructors. The next evening class is scheduled May 20th-May 31st, and the next day class is scheduled Jue 10th-June 14th (the day class is already well-staffed). AMTEC needs a CADD instructor to start by the week of July 8th, to avoid disruption in offering this class to our students. We also have SolidWorks software at Roane State's Clinton facility and would be interested in speaking with instructors who have this expertise (per the curriculum, either software can be used). We are losing our only current instructor as of May 3rd, and are speaking with one other interested individual. Job requirements are Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline; or 2+ years recent experience working with AutoCADD or SolidWorks in an industrial setting.
